Chicken Biryani

  • Step 1 :

    Add one cup of Kashish Basmati rice to a bowl, cover it with water and soak it for about 30 minutes (follow the detailed washing methods for the rice behind the pack!) Make sure to be gentle with handling of the rice grains!
  • Step 2 :

    Drain and rinse it with cold water till it is clear.
  • Step 3 :

    Add 2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice in a cooking pan/pot/rice cooker.
  • Step 4 :

    Bring it to the boil and simmer it for around 10-15 minutes. Remove the lid and leave it to stand for around 5 minutes.
  • Step 5 :

    Lightly, fork through the cooked rice grains and use as below. Take a non-stick pan and put Kashish cooking oil in it.
  • Step 6 :

    Add sliced onions and saute it for 10-12 minutes on medium heat. Add ginger garlic paste and stir it for 2 minutes on low heat.
  • Step 7 :

    Add the chicken pieces and fry it for 2-3 minutes on high heat. Add Biryani masala and give it a good mix.
  • Step 8 :

    After this, put on chopped tomatoes and yogurt/curd. Mix it well.
  • Step 9 :

    Cook it for 5 minutes and add salt, chopped coriander, green chilli and mix it well.
